Batman V Superman: 10 Theories About Lex Luthor

1. He€™ll Return For Suicide Squad

Whether or not Lex Luthor Jnr turns out to be a Kryptonian, a cyber terrorist, a lackey to Darkseid, or less of an orphan than we€™ve been led to believe, there€™s one thing we can be pretty certain of €“ Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice won€™t be his only appearance in the DC Extended Universe. Indeed, some fan theorists are already suggesting that Jesse Eisenberg€™s Lex will make an appearance in David Ayer€™s August 2016 villain team-up movie, Suicide Squad. If true, this would mark €“ as far as this writer€™s memory can confirm €“ the first time the same villain, played by the same actor, had shown up in two separate live action comic book films in the same year. It€™s certainly not too much of a stretch to believe this one. If Lex ends up in custody at the end of Batman V Superman, a cameo €“ or more €“ in Suicide Squad is entirely plausible, not least because the eponymous squad of that movie is traditionally compiled of incarcerated bad guys. Or if Lex Luthor escapes imprisonment in Bats V Supes, maybe the US government will send the Suicide Squad after him. Either way, you can see how it would make narrative sense €“ within the cross-pollenating DC universe €“ to give Jesse Eisenberg a role in Suicide Squad. It hasn€™t been confirmed or denied yet, but it seems highly likely. What do you think about Jesse Eisenberg€™s Lex Luthor Jnr? Let us know your theories in the comments€
