Thanks to the trailer, its already been established that Luthor has access to kryptonite. Furthermore, his bio states that he has a vast collection of meteorite crystals. In short, a brilliant weapons manufacturer has large quantities of the one resource that harms his nemesis. So all he really has to do is realize that it hurts Superman before weaponizing everything hes got. Though this plot detail has been rumoured, it was already a fairly safe assumption in the minds of fans that he would need this type of weaponry to physically face off against Superman. Its even possible that he will don his famous warsuit, armed with kryptonite. This is all made more believable by the fact that Batman will use similar kryptonite-based weapons and suits early on in the film. Perhaps Luthor sees this and gets inspired. But Lex's kryptonite use may not stop there. A recent Lego set has revealed Luthor on a helicopter made of kryptonite, which hes using to attack the heroes. While Lego sets have been known to simply make up action scenes, look no further than Iron Man 3 to find that sometimes, these sets can present legitimate spoilers, as might be the case here.
