Of all the rumoured plot point concerning Batman V Superman, this one has been around since the beginning. It goes that Lex Luthor is contracted by the army to perform operations and experiments on the corpse of General Zod, hoping to use his body to create new weaponry. This rumour is lent an enormous amount of credibility based on a few factors. For one, the Fortune biography states that Lex is heavily involved in military contracts. This is only furthered by a glimpse in the trailer of the bag transporting Zod which reads USAMRIID (United States Army Medical Research Institute Of Infectious Diseases). This would seem to confirm that the body was given to him by the government, with the intent that he is to study it. The rumour doesn€™t end there, however, as it€™s been widely believed that while tampering with Zod€™s DNA, he will trigger some sort of failsafe that will result in Zod being transformed into the monster known as Doomsday. Considering how most of the rumour lines up with what we know, it€™s not a stretch to think that Lex Luthor will be responsible for creating Doomsday.
