Batman V Superman: 12 Movies You Won't Believe Were Better Reviewed

6. Paul Blart: Mall Cop

Columbia Pictures
Score: 33%

A film about an overweight man falling over a lot and abandoning all sense of common decency is literally more acclaimed than what was supposed to be THE comic book movie event of all time.

And this is despite the fact that it failed to deliver on even it's most simple promises (of comedy and entertainment, chiefly): much like Snyder's failure to deliver fully on the versus element of his film.

Why It Did Better

Because, unfortunately, there are a lot of idiots in the world.

The Lesson For Warner Bros

Sometimes idiots will pour enough money on a bad film to make a sequel financially viable, no matter how critically panned it is. In no circumstances should you ever believe that that is enough to guarantee success for the sequel, or use it as a guide not to change things up.
