The iconic villain played by Jesse Eisenberg may not make a physical appearance in the first Batman v Superman trailer, but what he says here makes his feelings towards Superman more than clear. He clearly despises the Man of Steel. Interestingly, the hero can be seen hovering in the sky while someone reaches out to him for help at this point in the trailer, another interesting piece of imagery. While fans haven't assumed that religion would play a big role in Batman v Superman, could that be what Luthor uses to take advantage of people's fear in order to turn them against Superman?
