2. Batman & Superman Face Off Against Doomsday; Doomsday's Appearance Brings Other Superheroes Out Of The Woodwork

Batman and Superman are forced into a confrontation with the all-mighty creature that is Doomsday. Doomsday's strength is unparalleled; the beast is - essentially - a block of walking Kryptonite, making it impossible for Superman to battle him at close range. Lex marvels at his own genius and comments on the battle from afar, continually explaining to our heroes why their attempts to defeat Doomsday are futile. Then he realises: Doomsday is totally out of control. As Doomsday refuses to take orders from Luthor, Batman and Superman try to contain the enemy, but their attempts are repeatedly thwarted - the creature cannot be damaged. Meanwhile, their heavily-televised showdown allows other superheroes, such as Wonder Woman, and Aquaman, to join the battle. The resulting conflict reaches insane levels; Doomsday is finally defeated when the heroes find a way to fire him into space, where he's doomed to float endlessly.
