7. Lex Luthor Meets With Batman And Convinces Him To Eradicate The Man Of Steel; Agrees To Aid The Cause With Kryptonite

Bruce Wayne, clad as Batman, breaks into LexCorp to meet with Luthor. Luthor dryly admits that he's always had a soft spot for Batman's antics in Gotham. "I know why you're here," Luthor says. "Our mutual interest." The pair agree that something has to be done about Superman. Whilst Batman originally proposes they try and convince Superman to leave Earth, Luthor shoots him down and explains that such a thing would be entirely impossible because of Lois Lane. Batman eventually comes around to the idea of physical intimidation, but proposes the problem of Superman's invincibility. Lex reveals that he has been working on something: using leftover pieces of the World Engine, he has managed to synthesise Kryptonite, which he declares is Superman's only weakness. Luthor offers to power Batman for a confrontation with Superman ("Your mind, paired with my technology... he won't stand a chance"). Batman agrees.
