6. Batman & Superman Face Off; Batman Defeats Superman

Batman, now powered to insane levels thanks to Luthor, lures Superman to a remote location and attempts to trap him, which fails. Batman explains to Superman that he poses a devastating threat to the planet at large, and as a result, he has no choice but to destroy him. Superman begs Batman to reconsider, but this fails: the two are plunged into a battle unlike any other. Luthor's new physical upgrades render Batman as Superman's equal. The two are evenly matched. After pummelling one another into submission over the course of a gloriously-realised fight sequence, Superman manages to bring Batman to his knees. Batman, beaten and bloody, looks to be defeated, but it's all part of his master plan: he suddenly unleashes the Kryptonite and Superman, reduced to sheer agony, falls down, paralysed. He cowers as Batman gets to his feet. "I'm sorry," he explains. "This is how it has to be." A LexCorp helicopter looms overhead.
