Batman V Superman: Predicting The 10 Biggest Criticisms
3. The Colour Palette Is Too Bleak & Dull
Another big criticism of Man Of Steel was the generally washed-out, drab colour palette employed throughout, which to many was deemed not only visually unappealing but also going against the typically sunny, saturated visuals fans of Superman expect. Hell, one enterprising fan even took it upon himself to colour-correct the movie to give it a more "classical" look (a video that has since been removed from the Internet, sadly), emphasising just how little more traditional fans thought of Snyder's colour-drained aesthetic. Though what's been shown off from Batman V Superman so far does at least look a little more colourful, it's still likely to be a complaint: the film looks very grey and brown, so while this perhaps suits Batman, Supes fans may continue to struggle with a palette that doesn't put paid to the blue and red.
