Batman V Superman: Ranking The Performances From Worst To Best

9. Laurence Fishburne - Perry White

"Oh, was Laurence Fishburne in the film?" Just something you might find yourself wondering as you step out of the movie theatre and onto the street, waiting for that inevitable headache to pass. Yes, he was, to answer your question, but you could be forgiven for not really noticing: he appears in a few forgettable scenes at the Daily Planet and does absolutely nothing interesting at any point in the film, save for deliver that one line we'd all heard a zillion times in the trailers already ("Nobody cares about Clark Kent taking on the Batman"). Perry White is essentially Laurence Fishburne, which - at times - is all you need. Here, he just offers up another forgettable performance as a character nobody cares about (and also seems to have morphed from a respectable editor to a J. Jonah Jameson type?). Couldn't they have done something else to make this guy a bit more interesting?
