A familiar shot this, as it was released in one of the earlier trailers, but it doesn't lose any of its impact: plus there seems to have been more effects added to drop the background out of focus and have the dust wave enter focus as it advances. Terrible for the clarity of the image, but a good cheap thrill for fans of 3D effects. The soldiers are almost exact take-offs of Injustice: Gods Among Us' One Earth Regime soldiers aligned to Superman, suggesting that the plot is going to take similar inspiration...

The game's portrait of Batman as an insurgent and Superman as the head of a supreme ruling government force designed to end all criminal activity through totalitarian control seems to be the entire basis for this sequence. And it would also seem that the film will be taking the same inspirations as the game from Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox, which has hero v hero and The Flash as the key to stopping the world from falling apart. Could this be a hint that The Flash will be involved in this sequence? Rather than a nightmarish vision, could this be Barry Allen's way of showing Batman and Superman what happens if they allow Lex Luthor to succeed? It could be something of both, really, but the references are definitely intriguing.
