Batman V Superman: 10 Ways It Will Set Up Other DC Movies

2. Green Lantern Corps (2020)

Like Shazam!, Green Lantern Corps is too far removed from Batman v Superman for anyone to know for sure how it will link in but, given how the Green Lantern mythos was somewhat alluded to in 2013's Man of Steel, we can at least hazard a guess at how it might link in via Easter eggs. Little-known actress Christina Wren portrayed Major Carrie Farris in Man of Steel - a name strikingly similar to Carol Ferris from the comic books. Ferris went on to become Star Sapphire - initially a villain of Green Lantern, prior to becoming a figure of love. Wren's character remarked that Superman was "kinda hot" in Man of Steel - and such an outspoken appreciation of attractiveness fits with the comic book version of the character. Wren will reprise her role in Batman v Superman - and it may well be that her appearance is the full extent of the Green Lantern Corps set-up. However, with the military and police having a strong presence in the DCEU, the likes of Hal Jordan (a United States Air Force pilot), John Stewart (a veteran U.S. Marine) or Guy Gardner (a social welfare caseworker who deals with prison inmates and their rehabilitation) could potentially cameo in the same way Wren's Farris did in Man of Steel.
