Batman Vs Superman: 9 Things You Need To Know About Jena Malone's Robin

6. She Could Be Playing Barbara Gordon

SPOILER WARNING: A MAJOR CHARACTER'S FATE MIGHT BE REVEALED IN THIS ENTRY. Babs Gordon is one of the most famous redheads in the DC Universe. She's the daughter of Commissioner Gordon and, in the comics, she donned a superhero costume to become Batgirl, was shot through the spine by the Joker, confining her to a wheelchair, before becoming known as Oracle - a computer wizard at the centre of a huge information network, providing Batman with data when required. As of the New 52's reboot of the DC continuity, she has regained the ability to walk and is once again operating as Batgirl. Unlike Carrie Kelly, she's a full-fledged member of Batman continuity, has been for decades, and her involvement, however minor, in Batman v Superman would make sense considering one other rumour that has been doing the rounds. Again, spoilers. This comes courtesy of Badass Digest, (now known as BirthMoviesDeath) who report that a leaked section of shooting script mentioned a memorial plaque for one James Gordon. It was already revealed that Batman v Superman is taking place over 15 years into Bruce Wayne's tenure as Batman, and if Commissioner Gordon has indeed perished in that time (at whose hands it's unsure) then it makes sense for Barbara to feature in some capacity, especially as a grown woman of Malone's age. Perhaps she's there to remind Batman of his biggest failure, or maybe she's the walking embodiment of his guilt. If Barbara Gordon was a featured character in the movie, but her father wasn't, that would be seen as huge spoiler red flag. Perhaps that's why Malone's character hasn't been named? However, considering that in the comics, Oracle has previously worked with Suicide Squad, the the next port of call in the DCCU after Batman v Superman, perhaps we will see her in a wheelchair, preparing for that incarnation of the character? Or maybe...
