2. Everyone Loves Superman

A while back some images emerged of Metropolis' Superman statue, which suggested that the city's residents had in fact taken to their protector rather than hating him for what he did to the city. Clearly someone was a fan to raise such an effigy to the hero in the first place, but it could simply be that the local government make the foolish error of investing huge funds into the tribute to the annoyance of the real people. But, with Luthor involved in the anti-Superman movement it could be that Metropolites do believe that Superman saved them but that his nemesis poisons his public image, thanks to a secondary trigger event (or the revelation of the depth of Zod's invasion plan). It's a strange issue and one that presumably doesn't commemorate the end of Dawn Of Justice (when he could have clawed back the public's hearts to some degree), because further leaked images showed that the statue doesn't last very long...
