4. Ghost Watch
The 1992 British ghost documentary that aired on television felt so genuine and well produced that many viewers actually believed they were watching actual horrific events unfold on screen. Though the documentary was a part of the drama slot for the television station, "Ghost Watch" aired on Halloween involving a group of paranormal investigators who go inside a house to inspect the hauntings of an infamous ghost kn0wn for banging on pipes. As the investigation progresses, the hauntings escalate in to much more violent acts and horrifying moments of sheer paranormal madness ending in a shocking sequence that frightened many viewers. + Though it wasn't insistent that it was real, the documentary never quite clarifies that what we're seeing is staged and intended as a film. This is a very rare ghost film that would later become the frame work for other found footage ghost films, and is still widely revered.
