Before Paranormal Activity 4: 10 Movies That Paved the Way

8. The Collingswood Story

Yet another very rare found footage horror film, 2002's "The Collingswood Story" was a festival hit that was destined to become the next "Blair Witch Project." A very cryptic and utterly creepy horror film, "The Collingswood Story" sets down on a young girl named Rebecca who moves away from home to attend college. Marketing on the impending web camera craze, Rebecca's boyfriend John buys her a web cam so the two can stay in touch. What begins as a mere series of instances involving Rebecca's visiting on an online psychic transforms in to a downward spiral of horrific events, and weird occurrences that reveal a rather shocking finale and word of warning to online visitors intent on exploring the darker side of the web.
