20 Best Horror Movie Final Girls of the 2020s (So Far)

17. Margot Mills - The Menu

The Menu's Final Girl Margot (Anya Taylor-Joy) is a real one alright - in a sea of pretentious douche-canoes, she's the one patron of Chef Julian Slowik's (Ralph Fiennes) exclusive restaurant who isn't breathlessly enamoured with his soullessly over-engineered "fine dining" experience.

But of course, Slowik's latest dining session is destined to be his last, as he intends to kill himself, his staff, and everyone dining with him, each of whom was only invited because they contributed to Slowik losing his love of cooking.

Margot is the one exception among the guests, though, given that she is attending as a last-minute plus-one of insufferable foodie Tyler (Nicholas Hoult) and doesn't buy into any of it.

It's Margot's unpretentious attitude which ultimately ends up saving her life, as she rejects Slowik's fancy courses in favour of a simple cheeseburger and fries.

Slowik enjoys the experience enough that he allows Margot to leave the island as the sole survivor of the night, a brilliant demonstration of her deceptive smarts compared to the trite, inane fancies of every other guest in attendance.
