20 Great Performances Wasted In Terrible Horror Movies

7. Doug Bradley - Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth

The Hellraiser franchise has had its many ups and downs over the years, but even in the lesser entries, there's typically been a cracking Doug Bradley performance to savour as iconic villain Pinhead.

And there's a distinct irony that Bradley's finest hour in the series came at the point where Hellraiser descended into trashier, more familiar slasher film shenanigans.

Just as its title suggests, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth sees Pinhead go on a rampage on Earth, but here's where things get interesting - Pinhead also ends up facing off against the manifestation of his former human self, Captain Elliott Spencer (also played by Bradley).

Bradley gets to sink his teeth into a dual role here and does a fantastic job bringing dimension to Spencer, even if Pinhead is absolutely in a more conventional slasher villain mode.

Hellraiser III is an absolute car crash of half-baked ideas and ill-fitting tones, but if you can get over the fact that this is the goofy Hellraiser movie with a Cenobite who fires CDs at people, Bradley is doing his finest work of the entire franchise.
