20 Awesome Moments From TERRIBLE Recent Movies

1. The Cult Massacre - Psycho Killer

After spending the better part of three years rotting in post-production limbo, horror-thriller Psycho Killer finally hit screens back in February to near-universal critical and audience derision.

Despite a solid central performance from Georgina Campbell, this moldy serial killer flick from Se7en writer Andrew Kevin Walker cycles through tired genre tropes with a listless abandon, while serving up an unintentionally comical villain you won't be able to take seriously.

There is one memorably diverting set-piece, though, when the aforementioned murderer known as the Satanic Slasher (James Preston Rogers) rocks up at a Satanist mansion run by Mr. Pendleton (Malcolm McDowell), who is seemingly more interested in arranging orgies than anything else.

And so, the Slasher massacres the entire horny group mid-coitus, cutting through the naked cavorting revellers with a massive axe in a gloriously gory single-take sequence.

This is the single moment in the movie to make you perk up and wonder how something so cool wound up in such a dreadfully dull film otherwise.
