Though the court of public opinion is firmly divided on The Twisted Childhood Universe - aka the "Poohniverse" - the low-budget horror franchise has nevertheless won itself a cult of fans who appreciate its kitchen sink approach to turning public domain stories into grisly slashers.
And in fairness, more recent installments - such as Bambi: The Reckoning - have shown an uptick in both production value and creativity, suggesting it isn't purely a cynical cash-printing exercise.
These horror films based on Winnie-the-Pooh, Bambi, Pinocchio, and so on are all leading towards an epic, Avengers-parodying team-up event film, Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble.
The plot will reportedly see the various slasher villains teaming up to hunt down their respective survivors, and will introduce additional pop-culture characters such as Sleeping Beauty, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, Tintin (!), and even Mary Poppins.
It goes without saying that this is either going to be an absolute mess or the most hilariously WTF horror film of 2027 - no in-betweens.
