Even though original leads Isabelle Adjani and Sam Neill cast one hell of a wide shadow with their incredible performances, between Finn's penchant for intensity and the undeniable chops of Qualley and Turner, the potential for a worthy remake is huge.

No, it almost certainly won't surpass the original, but that's fine - a new take on the material for the 2020s could be quite incredible on its own merits. 

And in the very least with Finn at the helm it's likely to take a hard swing for the fences.
