Birds Of Prey Trailer Review: 7 Ups & 4 Downs

5. The Art Design Looks Wonderful

Without wanting to take pot shots at Suicide Squad or Zack Snyder's DCEU movies, one of the best things about this movie is that it looks like none of them. For a start, we can actually see what's going on, thanks to the conspicuous absence of the DCEU's usual fondness for darkness and there's a way wilder colour palette here.

It's fitting that we'd get something more lavish in its colours and more imaginative in set design, because this isn't just Harley Quinn's movie, it's about reclamation and her stamping her own identity out of the shadow of Mr J and all of that previous unpleasantness.

When we get to see more, I'd be confident in predicting this is going to be one of DC's most colourful, delightfully strange worlds.
