Black Panther Movie: 8 Ways Marvel Have Been Building Towards It For Years

Oh, so that's why Andy Serkis is in Age Of Ultron!

It€™s hard to imagine now but once upon a time - well, before 2008 - most people had never even heard of Iron Man. Superman or the X-Men sure, but Tony Stark was firmly on the b-list in terms of popular comic book characters. That all changed with the first Iron Man movie, and ever since Marvel has been going through their back issues to see what other heroes they could make a movie out of next. Black Panther is definitely not one of their better known character, but he has a pretty cool history. When he was introduced he was the first black superhero to appear in a mainstream comic, where he was originally a nemesis of the Fantastic Four. He has super strength, endurance, relaxes and a cool costume to boot. Wesley Snipes even considered starring in a film version back in the early nineties, before opting to go with Blade instead. Black Panther is due to make his long-awaited big screen debut with Captain America: Civil War but, as this is Marvel we€™re talking about here, his arrival has been teased for a long time now. Little easter eggs have been sown into the MCU going all the way back to 2010, so let's take a look at them.

Handsome. Charismatic. Intelligent. Noble. Witty. I'm none of these things, but I'm a half decent writer, I guess.
