3. The "Gay Moment"

Name a more iconic duo than Disney and fleeting moments of gay "representation" they can easily edit out for the bigoted international markets.

Wakanda Forever features another nothingburger moment of representation in the final minutes of the film, when we see the Dora Milaje's second-in-command Ayo (Florence Kasumba) being kissed on the forehead by her colleague and apparent partner Aneka (Michaela Cole), before Ayo refers to her as "my love."

It's a 5-second scene which effectively continues Disney's tradition of queerbaiting audiences who would simply like to see some honest-to-God card-carrying gay characters in their superhero movies.

On the plus side, we'll give the filmmakers mild credit for not spending weeks patting themselves on the back about this Gay Moment in the press, as so many have done in recent years (looking at you, Taika Waititi).
