Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - Ending & Post-Credit Scenes Explained

As mentioned, we only have one credits sequence to pick apart in Wakanda Forever, but as is Marvel tradition audiences were left with one final tease. That being the line:

"Black Panther will return."

While it was never expected that this would be the final time we saw the character, the confirmation kind of raises more questions than answers. Sure, Black Panther will be in more movies, but will it be Shuri under the mask? M'Baku and young T'Challa are both candidates for Wakanda's protector, and with the Heart Shaped Herbs back in circulation, could we see a future where the Black Panther role is shared by multiple people?

Likewise, does this final tease confirm Black Panther 3 will happen sooner rather than later? More likely, considering it isn't part of the company's Phase 5 or 6 lineup yet, Black Panther will play a major role in Marvel's two upcoming Avengers crossover flicks.

Either way, this franchise - and this character - is far from done.
