9. Who Is Ray Winstone Playing?
Even before Black Widow was officially announced by Kevin Feige at San Diego Comic Con in 2019, details were beginning to leak. Everyone knew the movie itself was coming, obviously with Scarlett Johansson set to reprise her role, and even David Harbour's name had been mentioned before he appeared on the Hall H stage.
Another name that started getting mentioned was that of Ray Winstone, who was reportedly cast in June of 2019. While Comic Con clued us in on David Harbour's role as well as the other cast members, Winstone was completely left out.
Even now there is no word on who the English actor is actually playing. There was some speculation for a time that he would be bringing Taskmaster to life, but he doesn't exactly fit the body type of the villain we have seen in the trailers.
The fact that Marvel is being so secretive seems to suggest the identity of Winstone's character may well be a spoiler. Why else would the actor be all but ignored in any and all marketing up to this point?
