Black Widow: 12 Huge Rumours That Would Change Everything

3. Taskmaster Is Natasha's Clone

As usual, Marvel are keeping their cards very close to their chests when it comes to Black Widow, particularly with regards to the villain. We currently know that Taskmaster will be involved, though we are yet to see his face, and have been kept in the dark regarding who will bring the character to life.

In one of the few clips we have seen of the villain, he can be seen facing off against Natasha, almost acting as a mirror image to her movements. This has led to some believing the reason we haven't seen Taskmaster's face yet, is because the character is actually a clone of Black Widow.

Those familiar with the character in the comics know that Taskmaster's special ability is being able to mimic any fighting style by merely watching it. This would explain the resemblance to Nat's movements, and the fact there is clearly some inspiration in his actions from both Cap and Hawkeye as well.

However, the MCU is no stranger to making changes to some key characteristics of their villains from the source material. In 2019 alone this happened both the Skrulls and Mysterio. And why have they been so adamant on keeping the villain's face hidden?

While it may seem obvious that Taskmaster is simply copying Natasha's moves as he's fighting and learning from her, it could be a way for Marvel to introduce cloning into the MCU. Just think of the doors this could open if true.
