Black Widow: 12 Huge Rumours That Would Change Everything

Marvel Studios can try all they want to keep every detail about their movies under wraps, but sometimes certain aspects fall through the cracks. Often this comes by way of merchandise. The Funko Pop figures released before Civil War gave away the big reveal of Giant Man, and something similar may have already happened with Black Widow.

Among the popular figures revealed for the May 2020 release is one of Natasha Romanoff in civilian clothes, clutching in her hands something that looks remarkably similar to a couple of vials of Pym Particles. This links up with the scene in the trailer where Natasha shows Yelena a mysterious red object.

Since Nat doesn't have access to the relevant technology to use the particles to travel through time, or make herself smaller, it is likely the red substance will feature more as a MacGuffin than a new power for Black Widow.

In Ant-Man, the villainous Darren Cross attempted to sell the particles to HYDRA before Scott Lang stopped him. Who's to say this was the first time someone tried to make some money off Pym's work? Could the Red Room have got their hands on the particles to aid them in the Black Widow programme? If so, this may be the key to Natasha bringing down the house in which she was trained.
