Black Widow: Everything You Need To Know About Taskmaster
4. He Used To Be A Teacher
Although being a mercenary is a full-time job, Taskmaster finds time in his busy schedule to become a teacher.
So what does he teach? Physics? Math? Gym?
Nope. He is the main teacher of a supervillain school and personally trains criminals in combat.
This is a pretty cool idea because it helps explain a plothole in comics. Most supervillain masterminds have dozens or hundreds of henchmen. Where do they all come from? Who trains them? Where do they get all their weapons? How do they get hired?
And the answer is Taskmaster. If the Red Skull needs 500 Hydra agents to storm Washington DC, they have to be prepared, right? I mean, they don't want to come across as unprofessional, do they? As a result, the agents are shipped to Taskmaster Academy where he trains them in armed and unarmed combat.
At this school, Taskmaster has trained John Walker to be the new Captain America after Steve Rogers quit. He trained supervillains such as Cuthroat, Spymaster, Diamondback, and Death-Shield. The Captain America villain, Crossbones, was Taskmaster's prized pupil and went on to become a teacher himself at the school after he graduated.
