Black Widow: Everything You Need To Know About Taskmaster

3. Daredevil Saved His Life

Black Widow Taskmaster
Marvel Comics

In the Daredevil story, Murder by Numbers, Matt Murdock tussled with Taskmaster for the first time. Despite the fact that Daredevil is one of the world's greatest fighters, Taskmaster countered every move with ease. Realising that he was in over his head, the blind superhero distracted Taskmaster, allowing him to be struck from behind by a taxi.

The Punisher happens to be on top of this vehicle, battling the gangster, Tombstone. When the automobile struck Taskmaster, Tombstone flew off, landing right beside the mercenary.

Realising that he had the opportunity to kill two supervillains in one go, Punisher whipped out his revolver. Although Daredevil managed to knock the gun out of his hand, Punisher hurled a knife towards Taskmaster's heart. Murdock manages to picks up the gun and fired at the knife, deflecting it so it sliced through Taskmaster's stomach instead of his heart. This is one of the very few times a Marvel superhero has used a gun.
