Black Widow Movie: 10 Comic Book Storylines Marvel Must Adapt
4. Homecoming
Another contemporary classic which proves Black Widow can standalone as well as any other character in the Marvel Universe, Homecoming finds Natasha in search of a way out of the spy game.
All seems to be going fine until a sudden assassination attempt brings her back to reality in this dark, grounded thrill fest from Richard K. Morgan, Bill Sienkiewicz and Goran Parlov.
It’s a gritty espionage caper from a creative team with a firm grasp of the character’s potential - she’s portrayed as lethal, efficient and attractive, without falling into the pitfall of over-sexualisation.
Homecoming was a credit to Black Widow on paper and there’s no reason why it couldn’t have the same impact on celluloid.
