Black Widow Movie: 10 Comic Book Storylines Marvel Must Adapt
3. Daredevil: The Widow
Existing within a flexible timeframe for five decades has given Natasha plenty of time to play the field in the Marvel Universe, striking up relationships with everyone from Iron Man to Hawkeye, but Daredevil will always be her definitive fling to many.
The pair complemented each other perfectly throughout a six-issue arc from Brian Michael Bendis's acclaimed run on Daredevil (Volume 2, issues #61-66), which picks up shortly after the Man Without Fear has driven the Kingpin out of Hell’s Kitchen.
Let’s imagine a world where Marvel deems it appropriate to throw its movie and TV properties into the mix together - could ScarJo’s Black Widow find her match in Charlie Cox’s Daredevil?
This collision of worlds has the potential to be either spectacular or a complete disaster, but it would be a bold move on Marvel’s part either way.
And while scores of fans would love to see Cox show up in a Black Widow movie, let’s hope the filmmaker (whether it’s Whedon or someone else entirely) doesn’t lose track of the fact that it’s Natasha’s film first and foremost.
