Black Widow Movie 2020: Everything We Know
4. Scarlett Johansson Earns Huge Payday
Black Widow has paid her dues and now it seems she is in for one big score. Scarlett Johansson is set to receive a huge payday for her solo film and its pretty obvious that this is long overdue.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress will receive a $15 million payday for the upcoming standalone film. She will be making the same amount that Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans made for Avengers: Infinity War. This is the same check the two got when they did Civil War and Ragnarok, the third standalone films for each of their characters.
Robert Downey Jr. brought home $500,000 in his first outing as Iron Man which eventually led to a $50 million dollar take home for the actor in The Avengers. Johansson, who was also in the first Marvel mashup pulled down a low seven-figure paycheck.
It has taken Johanssen six appearances to start making as much as the boys. Black Panther’s Chadwick Boseman took home an estimated $2 million for his first solo film and Captain Marvel’s Brie Larson is getting $5 million for the first female solo film. So not only is this paycheck fitting, but it's also about time.
