Black Widow Movie 2020: Everything We Know
1. It Might Be The MCU's First R-Rated Film
There is no question that Natasha Romanoff has the darkest history of any member of the Avengers. So the latest buzz on the film’s rating will not come as a surprise. A new rumor suggests that the superhero powerhouse may make the Black Widow standalone film starring Scarlett Johansson its first feature film to have an R-rating.
Marvel has produced more than 20 films with a PG-13 rating over the last decade. After films like Logan and Deadpool cross the line with success, Disney is considering continuing that successful trend, especially now that they have acquired Fox.
The Hollywood gossip site Crazy Days & Nights reports the studio is moving forward with plans to make the Natasha Romanoff solo endeavor their first R-rated film. While this seems like good news the reasoning behind why they've decided to roll the dice is kind of depressing.
According to their source if the experiment goes horribly wrong they have a woman to blame for it which is apparently what this studio wanted. Everyone is hoping this Intel turns out to be fake news because it is really sad with today's climate. Regardless of the reasoning, an R rated Black Widow movie is a great idea.
