Blade: 5 Reasons We're All Done With Vampire Films

3. Vampires Losing Ground On TV As Well

Vampires aren't just in books and on the silver screen. Not only have novels about vampires been adapted for film, but cinematic versions of these creatures have been adapted for television. Buffy The Vampire Slayer, the movie with America's sweetheart Kristy Swanson, has been re-fitted for the small screen. Unfortunately, the TV version of Buffy attempts to infuse plot and interesting characters into it in a way that the movie totally cast aside. It's because of this that the show probably won't last much longer, and then we'll have no more vampires on television. Can you imagine if there continued to be vampires on TV? If the landscape of television was so poorly thought out and redundantly unoriginal that there would be not one but multiple shows covering vampires, really only using the vampires themselves as an excuse for angsty relationships and sexuality in a way to cover up the fact that the writers can't create an interesting product? No. That'd be crazy.
