6. John Cena & Ike Barinholtz Steal The Show

Pretty much everyone is great in this film, but the two easy highlights are John Cena and Ike Barinholtz. Cena, as the wildly over-protective, straight-laced father of Kayla (Geraldine Viswanathan), gives by far his most entertaining screen performance to date, riffing playfully on his WWE persona and proving beyond all doubt that he has a future in comedy.

Barinholtz, meanwhile, has made a career out of playing thorough sleazebags, and his character here is no exception, though there's a clear layer of vulnerability beneath his crude exterior, which pays off splendidly in the film's final stretch.

Cena and Barinholtz are both at their best when bouncing one-liners off one another, though, and while Leslie Mann doesn't quite match them - she's pretty much playing her usual shrill type here - she's still decidedly less grating than usual.
