1. Freddie Mercury’s Sexuality Isn’t Ignored After All

When the first trailer for Bohemian Rhapsody dropped, Mercury fans were worried that the film had blatantly ignored the rock icon’s sexuality as there was no mention of it in the short preview. What’s more, initial reports seemed to suggest that the Queen frontman’s struggle with AID’s would also be ignored in the project, which understandably caused controversy.

If you were worried that the film wouldn’t feature an accurate portrayal of Mercury and his life then this trailer should put your mind at ease, because there are a few scenes it features Mercury showing romantic affection towards men. Moreover, we also see Malek’s character worrying about running out of time, which implies that at this stage in the film, he’s aware that his life is coming to an end.
