Cottilard has encountered spy once before in her filmography with Christopher Nolan's Inception back in 2010, so returning to that genre with James Bond would bring her more acclaim with American audiences as well as make her more box office bankable. Cottilard relied on Nolan & Batman to get her big money, so to keep that up with James Bond may give her some more notice with common film audiences and could see her be a big draw in the future.
