Bond 24: 10 Things You Need To Know

9. Parachutes & Car Chases Confirmed For A Rome Sequence

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed this past week that James Bond will be making his first trip to Rome in his latest movie, with the city apparently playing host to three crucial action sequences. Several high-speed car chases are planned to be filmed through the city's narrow streets, culminating in one car plummeting into the Tibur River. In another chase, a Fiat 500 will apparently get crushed near the Vatican, and finally, Bond will parachute from a helicopter onto the rustic Ponte Sisto bridge. Along with additional shooting in other parts of Italy, the production will be filming in the country from February 19th to March 12th. This won't mark the first time Bond has shown up in Italy, of course: he's gone there in From Russia With Love, The Spy Who Loved Me, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only, Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace. It is rather surprising, however, that it's taken 24 movies for the super-spy to make it to the country's capital city.
