It was reported in late August that the producers of Bond 24 were seeking a physically imposing athlete for the part of an assassin in Bond 24 who would play second fiddle to the main villain, but also have several fights with 007 throughout the film, as well as a driving sequence. Basically, a new Jaws or Oddjob-esque henchman, given the tentative name Hinx in the current script for the new movie. The role, of course, was eventually handed to former WWE wrestler and recent Guardians Of The Galaxy star Dave Bautista, who despite his unpopularity among many WWE fans, has enjoyed a career resurgence as of late with his acclaimed work in Guardians, which no doubt helped endear him to Bond producers. The filmmakers were reportedly looking for a unique and memorable actor to play the henchman, and on the basis of his fine work in Guardians, he has a damn fine chance of fulfilling that potential.
