Bond 24: 10 Visionary Directors To Shake Up The Franchise

1. Christopher Nolan

ChristopherNolan

Known for: The Dark Knight Trilogy, Inception, Memento

Why he should be considered: Christopher Nolan is probably the one director on this list who is most likely to land a James Bond gig. There have been rumors swirling that Barbara Broccoli and Michael G .Wilson have approached Mr. Nolan to helm the next Bond movie but nothing has been set in stone at this time. It truly is a no-brainer; the man has said over and over again how big of a fan he is of the franchise. The influence is especially apparent in his 2010 blockbuster sci-fi action movie Inception, which features lots of guns, hand-to-hand combat, and snow skier action scenes (a James Bond staple):

In addition to employing smart direction and writing (well, except for The Dark Knight Rises some would argue), the man can shoot some downright enchanting action scenes. The opening scene to The Dark Knight is one of the most exquisitely filmed sequences from which it is impossible to look away. James Bond and Bruce Wayne share some similarities so it wouldn€™t even be too big of a stretch to get a handle on the character. In a way, it seems as if all roads in Christopher Nolan€™s career have been leading up to this. I don€™t think it€™s a matter of if, just a matter of when.
