Last Visited: The Living Daylights Other films shot there: Amadeus, The Third Man, Before Sunrise Highlight: Definitely the Vienna State Opera House Why? Aah, Vienna... a city Bond has visited before, back when during the Cold War and the USSR still existed. Why not return to the old favourites, much like Tokyo? It's a European city similar to Barcelona or Amsterdam- rich in history and culture, but with enough character that it certainly stands out when Bond is wreaking merry mayhem throughout its streets. It'd be just as interesting as Krasnoyarsk for this Cold War relic to visit now it's moved on as even more of an important city, vital to Europe more than it ever was before. Certainly nice enough for Bond to linger in, but lacking the excitement he seeks like a drug. Which would make any explosive action all the more satisfying than the first time around. Likelihood (out of 5): 3 4. Toronto, Canada Last Visited: Never Other films shot there: Scott Pilgrim Vs The World, The Last Detail, The Fly Highlight: Hands down the CN Tower Why? Bond has filmed in Canada, but in his fictional world he's never actually visited before. Though it's a wonderful city of its own merit, what makes it different from any other city with an Atlantic climate? Well, for a start it's in a country Bond's never been, with its own distinct culture. Bond;s used to western luxury, so Toronto is equipped for that. The CN Tower can provide thrills if Bond battles with a bad guy on the top of it- and the fact it's a city like any other that Bond won't necessarily be used to makes it appealing. Toronto is not necessarily the most interesting on this list, but as every location is different, the fact it doesn't jump out as being different from any other means it might have surprises in store for 007, both nasty and nice.
