3. The Inspiration for Dougie, Dr. Evil, Powers
Just face it. Blofeld is the face of supervillainry. Forget the Joker and Magneto for just a moment. Blofeld was bigger and badder before those guys truly came into their own being. He is practically the demi-god of theatrical villains being copied and paid tribute to constantly in pop culture. The biggest and most widely recognizable of course being Mike Myers as Dr. Evil in the Austin Powers series. Dougie in the film is modeled after Donald Pleasance's portrayal of Blofeld in You Only Live Twice. Although we definitely don't want to see James Bond get a throw back to the hokey camp tradition it use to play up on back in the 1970s it would be cool to see a cultural icon of evil brought back in a contemporary way.
