Bond 24 Wishlist: 10 Things That Must Happen

4. Quantum

One of the most unsatisfying elements of the Craig Bond films has been Quantum, the shadowy, secret organisation first revealed in Casino Royale (albeit not named at this point) and elaborated on in the quasi-sequel Quantum of Solace, and then dropped like a bad habit in Skyfall. Mr. White (Jesper Christensen) is Quantum's mouth-piece, having personally executed Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen) when his plan went bust, and having been kidnapped and interrogated by Bond at the start of Quantum of Solace. Still, White managed to escape during the course of the film and presumably remains free, leaving a wide-open plot strand for Bond to return to. Given the mixed reception Quantum of Solace received, and the fact that actor Christensen himself has publically described the two Bond films he worked on as "s**t", Quantum is almost certainly going to be left in the dust, as Skyfall clearly proved that audiences aren't really fussed about it, even if it was clumsily abandoned and deserves to be tied off once and for all. Quantum absolutely shouldn't be thrust into the plot for the sake of it, but some closure would be nice.
