Bumblebee: 10 Reasons To Be Excited

Bumblebee, even in just the few short scenes depicting the friendship between Charlie and Bee, is already looking to be packing spades of emotion and warmth into what could've easily been a G1 skinned redux of the first Transformers movie.

With Charlie being described as 'a girl trying to find her place in the world', and Bumblebee famously being the sole Autobot sent to Earth during the War of Cybertron, the makings of a heartfelt, emotionally impactful friendship are made.

For a film series that, until recently, preferred masturbation jokes and racist stereotypes over significant character development, the relationship between Charlie and Bee could be something truly special indeed - especially from a director who has worked on films revolving around core themes of family and unlikely friendship before.
