5. What To Expect When You€™re Expecting (2012)

When Cameron Diaz is on her a-game, she's clearly capable of delivering an astonishing performance. That's been proven in the likes of Being John Malkovich. However, like many modern Hollywood starlets, she's not beyond the "auto-pilot" movie. By that, I mean she's not beyond accepting easy roles, those which she can play without thinking or exerting herself too much dramatically. Her turn as TV fitness guru cum soon to be baby momma Jules in What To Expect When You're Expecting is one such role. The problem with this movie, at its core, is a stinker of a script; one that's rife with age-old cliche, predictable sex jokes and bodily fluid themed gross out schtick. There's little on offer from any of the performers here if I'm honest, least of all Diaz, who's easily outshined by both Elizabeth Banks and, heaven forbid, Jennifer Lopez. If you're going to sit down to watch What To Expect When You're Expecting, expect to be disappointed.
