2021 saw Daniel Craig call time on his amazing stint as Britain’s most famous spy James Bond, bowing out with a bang (quite literally) in No Time To Die.
Over five epic cinematic entries, Daniel Craig probably gave us the most fascinating and complex 007 that ever graced our screens and it’s going to be no easy task for another actor to live up to the legacy he has left behind.
Indeed, George Lazenby visibly struggled to live up to Sean Connery and Timothy Dalton failed to recapture the magic of Roger Moore… history is not particularly kind to actors who take over from long-running and popular James Bond actors. Perhaps Craig himself was the only actor who managed it, surpassing Pierce Brosnan’s four outings which were notable in their own right, with his turns in Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Skyfall, Spectre and No Time To Die being so lauded by fans and critics alike.
But what about Craig’s other work? There’s way more to him the Chester born actor than just his James Bond movies. Even before he got the role of a life time he had built up an impressive library of terrific performances and he certainly didn’t rest on his laurels either, continuing to work throughout his near 16 year legacy as Bond, James Bond.
