10 Movies That Just Got Cancelled
6. Perfect
Last year it was announced that Millie Bobby Brown was set to star in and produce Gia Coppola's (The Last Showgirl) new film Perfect - a biopic of Olympic gymnast Kerri Strug, who was part of the iconic 1996 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics team known as The Magnificent Seven.
Shooting was lined up for May, and it sure seemed like Brown had her sights on potential awards with such a splashy biopic project.
But in April, less than two months before cameras were set to roll, Brown abruptly quit Perfect, apparently due to the ever-vague, ever-speculated about "creative differences."
Possibly tellingly, Coppola herself quietly exited the project earlier, ultimately being replaced by Cate Shortland (Black Widow).
But the real kicker? Brown's departure caused distributor Netflix to cancel the film entirely, possibly sensing - quite understandably - that momentum was lost with the exit of their buzzy Stranger Things star and recasting such a specific role might be challenging.
