While the critical response to this one wasn't as through-the-roof as many would have hoped, Jim Jarmusch's festival opener was almost certain to create a certain level of buzz due to its sheer star power.

A comedy zombie flick starring Adam Driver, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Steve Buscemi and Iggy Pop amongst so many others, this film is likely to become somewhat of a mainstream hit that Cannes often struggles to find just down to the appeal of its stars.

Jarmusch's films often struggle to find their audience, and it's a little up in the air as to whether this one will succeed where others have not. But it's hard to see a zombie comedy with some of Hollywood's top talent backing it not working its way out of the black hole that are Cannes movies (that is: often never seeing the light of day at all.)
