Captain America: Civil War - 10 Biggest Moments Of Foreshadowing

6. Captain America As A Fugitive (Captain America: The Winter Soldier)

In Captain America's first appearances - in 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger and 2012's The Avengers - he seemed like a man who liked to follow orders without question, but the suspicions he developed about the inner-workings of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier portrayed him as someone who was prepared to go against the grain and fight for his personal beliefs. The super soldier uncovered information that revealed HYDRA to be operating from inside S.H.I.E.L.D. and, as a result, he became a fugitive - both from HYDRA/S.H.I.E.L.D. and the government, as he was falsely accused of being the party in the wrong. It showed a side to Captain America that will be visible even more so in Captain America: Civil War. His team of rebels will be against the idea of government-enforced superhero legislation and, therefore, his actions in Captain America: The Winter Soldier were an indication of things to come.
